Hi, I'm Vish 👋

I'm a Research Scientist at Meta, working on the Linux kernel—usually in the awkward corners of io_uring, virtualization, and the plumbing problems that show up when you run agents at scale. I care deeply about memory management, performance, and making systems do less work than they think they need to.

Somewhere along the way I picked up a doctorate in operating systems. It mostly taught me how to argue with kernels, not how to fix printers.

When I'm not staring at traces or reading kernel docs, I'm running, hiking, cooking or falling down completely unnecessary rabbit holes like:

  • Why does one sock always disappear in the washing machine?
  • Why does this abstraction only leak in production?
  • Is this behavior a feature, a bug, or folklore?

You can find my hot takes on Twitter and my runs on Strava. Emailing me is theoretically possible, but not well optimized.
